FARF 5K || Fanconi Anemia Super Hero Run

This past Saturday I was asked by my friend Emily if I would volunteer to be the photographer at a photo booth for the Fanconi Anemia Super Hero 5k Run!! I have learned a little about Fanconi Anemia, that it is a rare cancer-prone disease and that it has an average lifespan of 33 years. The run was held in honor of 3 cute little boys Blake, Isaac and Avery. My friend Emily's adorable son is Blake. I can honestly say I don't know much more about the disease but I am learning.

It was so heart-warming to see all of the support and love radiate from all of the runners and kids that were there fighting Fanconi Anemia! I have never had the opportunity to volunteer my photography for something like this before but I am SO glad that I did!! I had so much fun taking pictures of true life super heros! These men and women, boys and girls are so inspiring as they fight everyday against Fanconi Anemia and even those who came to help fight for the day! It was truly an amazing experience!

Valedictorian || Portrait Photographer

This smarty pants has graduated and is getting ready to make her way towards Princeton! Sophia is the valedictorian of her class and graduated from Foster High! The little bit of time I got to spend with Sophia was worth it. She has such a kind heart!! You can tell that her family is SO proud of all of her accomplishments!!! I am grateful to have met her and wish her all the luck in the world as she makes her way to Princeton!

Prom Day with Amanda & Hunter || Washington Photographer

I met both Amanda and Hunter for the first time at this photo shoot and was blown away at how happy and fun they both are. These two are so sweet together! There were jokes, smiles and lots of laughter through this photo shoot as I took them up and down the stairs and into the "hidden woods" nearby!

This session was so dreamy. Amanda was gorgeous and the dress she picked complimented her perfectly! Hunter was a stud with his matching flower and light pink accessories! Capturing the details of their outfits was my favorite because sometimes the details get overlooked and it's always fun to remember the details of a special occasion! This first photo makes me smile because it was taken after taking pictures of Amanda's gorgeous shoes, Hunter was jokingly saying that he was starting to feel left out so I not so jokingly said hop in!! After a little hesitation he jumped right in and had a blast showing off his handsome shoes and socks! :)

These two were such a treat to work with! I loved every minute! I have no doubt that their prom night was filled with lots of laughter and many fun memories!!
