Our Newest Little Man Abram James

We were sure that this pregnancy was going to be complicated, so we prepared as much as we could for any complications and a possible early arrival. Our Dr. watched me a little closer as we progressed because last time I developed preeclampsia and delivered at 37 weeks (3 weeks early). This time around we were not taking any chances. I planned my hospital bag, washed baby clothes and got everything ready for my mom  to come up a month early just in case baby was early!

Thankfully this time around my body was a champ, I was healthy. As far as we knew everything was running normal so far ...

Nathan and I checked in for my 38 week appointment they ran the normal check up tests but this time my blood pressure was spiking. They didn't know why and they didn't want to take any chances so they monitored me and baby and eventually sent me down to the hospitals triage room. They wanted to run some extra tests, hook me up on the NST (non-stress test) to hear baby's heart beating and to do an ultrasound to check my amniotic fluid because it was concerningly low 2 weeks back.

The ultrasound tech came in and found that my fluids were lower than they were 2 weeks back! All my other tests came back normal but my fluids and blood pressure were still concerning. The Dr came in and let us know that on top of all of this my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart and it would be best to get me checked into the birth center and induce me before we see more signs of preeclampsia.

The next thing we knew we were waiting to be checked in to our room at the birth center. We bought our traditional Jimmy John sandwichs, they put in my IV and the next thing we knew we were in our room and I was getting into my hospital gown.

They placed a foley bulb to help me dialate and at 5:30am I was dialated enough to start the pitocin drip!! I was officially on the drip at 6am and my contactions were becoming stronger and stronger!! At 3pm I was dialated to an 8-9. We were all getting prepped until we had a change of nurses. Unfortunately this new nurse was no good! She pretty much halted any and all progress because she kept turning off the pitocin and messing with my monitors so everything was getting all messed up and for the next 4-5 hours there was no change Sigh... I was feeling defeated. Until we were blessed with a new nurse who was AWESOME! She knew exactly what to do when she came in! That was around 7pm and the next thing I knew I was ready to push at 9pm!!! Hallelujah!!!

My amazing husband was on my right and my sweet mom on my left encouraging me through every contraction and every push, I could not have been so strong without them there! πŸ’™  At 9:56pm Abram James Bills was born! They placed him right on me, Nathan cut the cord and the rest was history! πŸ’™πŸ’™

We are so in love! Jarom was able to meet Abram the next day! It was honestly the CUTEST thing! Jarom is going to be an amazing big brother! He loves his baby brother so much and we love them! πŸ’™πŸ’™ We are so excited to now be a family of 4!

Thank you so much to everyone who prayed for us and kept us in your thoughts! We felt all of your love and support through all of this! πŸ’™

Bills Family

I took these pictures a little while ago and I'm sad it has taken me this long to blog about them. I never know how to put in words what I am feeling and sometimes I can write a little too much, making blogging a little hard and overly time consuming.

With that all being said this is my brother and sister-in-law and their cute son and soon to be daughter! They are a family that is close to my families heart! We were not always close but we always wanted to be, unfortunately life and misunderstandings kept getting in the way! I think Heavenly Father saw this as an opportunity and knew the best way to bless us would be to send us both sweet little boys a month apart from each other! These two little boys LOVE each other so much and are the best of friends when they get together! Thomas is always taking about my son Jarom and Jarom is always talking about their son Thomas! It melts our hearts! We LOVE getting the two of them together as much as possible even though we are all so far apart! Aunts and Uncles are the best and cousins are even better!!

For those who know Kristina & Steven, you know that these pictures were taking while sweet little Katelyn was still in Kristina's tummy and that they have since had our ADORABLE little niece, Katelyn, we can not wait to meet her! We hope to follow quickly behind with one of our own but until then we are SO excited to have another cousin for Jarom!! Now Jarom has a total of 5 fun cousins from the Bills side of the family!! We LOVE this little family and we love even more that we are all growing closer with time! Family really is EVERYTHING and we are blessed to have so many amazing family members!

Steven and Kristina are AMAZING parents I have SO much love and respect for them! They truly are amazing and I am blessed to call them my family!

PS These photos were taken while we were visiting the BEAUTIFUL Utah State and I had the WONDERFUL opportunity of using my sister-in-laws (Kristina's) studio! Makes me long to be back in Utah!

Our little Man

Two years ago today I was laying in a hospital bed with my sweet husband nearby. We were tired, confused and still in shell shock with the events that brought us into the hospital. It was Saturday morning and we had been their since Friday afternoon. We were waiting to hear back about my abnormal test results. They were taking my blood pressure about every half hour and our baby was sitting breech but was holding a strong heart beat. We were told that we would be meeting our little man sooner rather than later and we were not ready!

The results came back and I was diagnosed with sudden and EXTREME preeclampsia, they quickly prepped me for the O.R. and I had to wrap my mind around a new birth plan. Nathan held my hand as we rolled down the hallways and told me everything was going to be okay. I couldn't hold back my tears, so many mixed feelings and emotions but the moment they raised our sweet boy over the screen our hearts were stolen and we knew Heavenly Father had blessed us with someone amazing.

Now our little man is two years old and everyday he steals our hearts all over again. Little man loves everything about life!! He LOVES books, food, music, sunglasses, airplanes, swimming, his stuffed animals (mainly giraffe and little foot), his friends and SO much more! He is learning everyday and is teaching us everyday! Our lives are blessed a million times over because of this sweet boy! We can not believe he is already TWO!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Little Mr.!!

Mommy & Daddy love you more than words will ever be able to explain! β™‘β™‘

In honor of his Birthday we went out and took two-year pictures with some of his favorite things! Unfortunately Daddy was not able to join us for these pictures but Little man had lots of fun playing outside with some of his favorite things β™‘
