Something Different || About The Photographer

Blog Challenge #1 - A Simple Introduction

This blog post is going to be something a little different, lately I have been reading a lot of self help, motivational, business growth books and much more. A little while back I stumbled upon something that I think will be amazing but it requires taking some steps and being active with some goals and challenges. Today I was challenged to a seven day blogging challenge!!

Through this challenge I will answer a couple different questions:

1. Who are you?

Most of you reading this already know who I am and if you are new to my blog and website, Welcome!!! :) My name is Naomi Bills and I love photography!! :) Some fun facts about me might be that I love popcorn, I love taking photos, I love sunny days, I'm a California girl, I love making friends and much more!! I just moved to Renton Washington with my husband!

2. Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging first as a personal thing to show off some photos and to talk about things that were going on in my life then I decided that I needed to make a blog strictly for my photography so I moved things. I thought that blogging was a great idea because it was a way for me to tell the stories of the pictures I was posting! I have such a large passion for what I do, I just want to share a little more then just the photos! :)

3. Who is your blog for?

My blog is for everyone who loves to look at photos, photographers, non-photographers, clients and so on. I want my blog to be a space where people feel free to share what they think about the photos I post and to share stories about the photos or anything that I might post. I would love for my blog to be a space that I can learn more from and others can learn more from!

4. What's something you've been working on lately that you're REALLY proud of?

That one is easy ... my website!!! :) Since my husband and I graduated and moved to Washington I have been working really hard to get my part time photography business turned into my full time job. So I have put everything toward creating this new website that has everything including my blog! It took me a little while but I am proud with the outcome and am excited for people to see it!! :)

5. What's the ONE MESSAGE that you hope people take away from your blog?

The one message I would love people to take away from my blog is that we all have things that we are passionate about, so don't be afraid to share that passion with others!! This is my passion and I am excited to share it!

Seattle Latter-Day Saint Temple || LDS Temple Photographer

This past Saturday morning I had the wonderful opportunity of joining my church and their primary children on a journey to the Seattle Temple! It was so much fun! I was asked to take some casual family photos of the kids and their families in front of the temple because this year we are focusing on going to the temple!

It was so much fun seeing these kids and being around the temple! It really is such a beautiful and peaceful place! If you have never been, go walk around the temple grounds, its beautiful!!

Bo & Laura || Family Photographer

Meet my cousins Bo, Laura and their three very beautiful girls! There are so many cute things about this family. Some men may think that having a house full of girls might be to much but my cousin Bo is amazing with all of them!

One time my husband and I went over to their home for a family gathering and we noticed nail polish on Bo's nails. When we asked him about it he let us know that the girls and him were having some sort of dress up day or something fun like that. He said it like it was nothing, like they play dress up all the time! :) Is that not just the sweetest thing? He is such a good father to his little girls.

There are so many cute stories about this family that would make anyone smile but the point is that they are all so cute together, even while taking their pictures! Their youngest daughter had to have her little elephant Elle (spelling?) in the photos. This little elephant goes everywhere with her and was one of the reasons why I was able to get her to smile for the camera. By saying things like "Why look at how big Elle is smiling!"

It was a hot day and they were one of the last groups to have their pictures taken, I am glad they were still smiling!
